“If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.”
Taylor and Justin’s wedding over Memorial Day weekend was the perfect mix of emotional and exciting. Tears, so many tears… and so much happiness for their little family filled the day.
I have known Taylor for many years.. we both grew up in South Jersey in the same small town. It wasn’t really until she was starting her little family that we connected again. I have been documenting their journey ever since she was pregnant with their son Andros and I was completely overjoyed on their wedding day. This is why I love being a photographer..
ceremony
The bird cages gave this wedding a personalized touch. As I heard Taylor tell Justin.. “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” Instant tears… again!
Grandmom’s face above and the faces of Taylor and Justin below brought tears to my eyes! I’m a big cry baby though..
Did I mention how funny Andros was all day? He kept telling the flower girl how beautiful she looked.. And I quote, “You look so cute my little nugget.” My. Little. Nugget. He is SO adorable.
getting ready
Moments I enjoy most from a wedding day are first looks between Brides and thier moms and Brides and their child.. Andros did not disappoint. Not only did he look super handsome, but he had me cracking up all day! I think it’s so funny to see how differently the guy’s day goes compared to the girls. My second shooter usually heads over to meet the guys and whenever possible, I like to pop in and say hi. I was especially excited to for this wedding because Atlantic City Country Club has an awesome locker room for the guys to hang out in! Their day got a pretty relaxing start with some beers, cigars and poker! I was cracking up when Taylor told me that Justin didn’t want anyone else to do his hair other than her. Taylor is a hair stylist in South Jersey! So, of course.. they blinded folded Justin and she made her way into the locker room to do his hair! They were so happy and excited for their wedding day to be here. The guys requested this shot! I loved scrolling through the pictures and seeing all of their ideas. It’s always much more fun when the groom and his buddies are into it.first touch
Some couples opt for a first look… but some are dead set on waiting until seeing each other as the bride walks down the aisle. A new trend I am seeing now is “a first touch”. Taylor and Justin wanted this and I think its so sweet.
